For travellers on a budget or for travellers who simply enjoy independence from timetabled hours, a self catering vacation in West Coast is an excellent holiday choice.
West Coast self catering accommodation is widely available and includes self catering motels, apartments, suites, lodges, bungalows, cottages and holiday park complexes. Situated by the beach, in the town and city centres, by lakes and by rivers, it's easy to find a self-catering accommodation to suit your particular tastes and located in a place to best serve your needs and interests.
West Coast self catering accommodation also varies in size catering for small and large groups, interested in both short-term and long-term holiday rentals.
Whilst most self-contained accommodation in West Coast provides all the items you may need in the kitchen, even a few complimentary condiments and hot drinks, it is always a good idea to check with your hosts as to what exactly is provided. You should also find out where the nearest supermarket or shop is, or you may find yourself facing a very long drive to fill the fridge.
If you decide to stay in a self catering accommodation, you give yourself a great deal of flexibility and can stick to your own time rather than any specific meal time. It's a great option, especially for families who may want to pack a light bite for the kids during a day packed full of activities and then enjoy an (earlier) home-cooked meal in the evening. As some food items may not be available in some small areas, it may be wise to pack a few essential dry goods and take them with you, especially if you have fussy eaters in the family who may not enjoy traditional Pacific Island cuisine (seafood especially).
