Accessing Your Web Statistics
Web statistics are generally provided by a Web hosting services provider or by Google (Google Analytics). If following the instructions below for accessing your statistics does not work, you will need to contact your Web hosting company.
Accessing Awstats
One of the most commonly provided statistics programs by Web hosting providers for small and medium sized businesses in New Zealand is awstats.
To access awstats:
- Type your URL into your browser e.g. http://www.yoursite.co.nz
- Then type in "/stats/" e.g. http://www.yoursite.co.nz/stats/
View a typical statistics page.
Accessing Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a free statistics program provided by Google. To find out more and to set up Google Analytics, see: Setting up a Google Analytics account.
To access Google Analytics:
- Type the Google Analytics URL into your browser e.g. https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/
- Click on the ‘Access Analytics’ button
- Enter your login and password
