New Zealand Fast Facts
A short story about James and the Chocolate Factory...in 1890, James Henry Whittaker began to make chocolate in New Zealand, eventually establishing his chocolate factory in Wellington in 1911. In 1950, his son Maurice developed the Whittaker's Peanut Slab - it is an iconic New Zealand chocolate bar and the recipe has never changed. It fits perfectly into hand luggage...pure gold.
