Harvest Hotel Introduction

Views, views and more Central Otago views. With picturesque and thriving Cromwell recognised as the gateway to the golden holiday and businesses opportunities of Central Otago and the Southern Lakes district, Harvest Hotel at The Gate is the place to stay in all seasons and for all reasons.

The centre of Queenstown is just an hour away through the must-see Kawarau Gorge and Gibbston Valley. Queenstown Airport and Remarkables Park and Five Mile Shopping Centres are only three quarters of an hour from The Gate with Wanaka a little over half an hour. Yet when it comes to affordable accommodation, Harvest Hotel is a world away.

Cromwell itself has plenty to offer with one of New Zealand's best country golf links, historic precinct where artisans and artists work daily, Lake Dunstan's boating and fishing, vineyard tours and wine tasting, and Highlands Motorsport Park with its 200 kph taxi, go-karts and motorsport museum.

About Cromwell

Cromwell is an appealing town where southern hospitality is alive and well.

Built on the banks of Lake Dunstan, formed with the building of Clyde Dam, Cromwell is steeped in pioneer history.

A visit to Old Cromwell Town is well worth the 15 minute stroll from The Gate. Throughout summer a farmers' market is held there on Sunday mornings.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at just how diverse the shops are at Cromwell Mall.
