Mangere is one of Auckland's largest suburbs and is named after Māngere Mountain - which is also one of Auckland's largest volcanic cones. Mangere is also home to the Auckland International Airport and boasts plenty of accommodation for travellers. Mangere is also mostly situated on flat land and is about 15 kilometres from the Auckland CBD.
