With 11 kilometres of easily walkable sand, Ohope Beach is one of the safest and most-loved beaches in New Zealand. Hidden Otarawairere Bay and the Ohiwa Harbour are popular places to explore by kayak, and the hills surrounding Ohope Beach are dotted with Maori pā sites.
