Tauranga Airport is a regional airport, located northeast of Tauranga City over the Tauranga Harbour Bridge, in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Tauranga Airport offers domestic flights around New Zealand, including to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Tandem skydiving and gliding are also based here at the Tauranga Airport, along with the Classic Flyers Aviation Museum. This aviation museum is dedicated to preserving the rich and precious history of New Zealand aviation and offers flight experiences in historic planes such as open cockpit biplanes, a Boeing Stearman and a Grumman Ag-Cat.
