Lyttelton

Lyttelton is the South Island's principle deep water port and is located 12 from Christchurch by a tunnel under the Port Hills. Lyttelton was badly damaged by the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes and many of its historical buildings were destroyed. Lyttelton remains a beautiful port town with stunning views of the Lyttelton Harbour and the surrounding hills. Lyttelton Harbour itself as well as the surrounding Port Hills and Banks Peninsula were formed by ancient volcanoes. more
Lyttelton Activities include stunning cruises and tours out into the picturesque Lyttelton Harbour as well as to the beautiful Quail Island and Diamond Harbour.
