Small yelllow train in Pt Chalmers?

Hi,My hubby and I are cruising to NZ early Feb 2019. We have done this cruise before and am fairly sure we saw fellow passengers catch a small yellow train in Port Chalmers. We went on a city tour instead. Hubby is a train fanatic, and would love to travel on it. Can u advise how we can go on this train? I have looked on the Princess Cruises excursion form but cannot find it. Just wondering if you could advise me on this? Maybe what it is called?
