Black Sands Lodge offers Piha Beach accommodation in New Zealand's small coastal village of Piha Beach. Our self-contained accommodation at Piha is located on the majestic West Coast of Auckland in the Waitakere Ranges—about 45 minutes drive from central Auckland.

Our Piha bed and breakfast is located at Piha Beach and is without a doubt, one of the most popular beaches and “get away places” for Aucklanders and travellers alike.

Piha Beach is considered one Auckland's most adventurous playgrounds for keen surfers, trampers and beach lovers. The road to Piha Beach, through the protected rain forest of the Waitakere Ranges, is sealed all the way and great quality if a little windy in places.

Kauri Suite at our Piha Beach Accommodation

Our Kauri suite provides you with private, spacious and romantic self-contained accommodation at Piha.

The double bed has quality linen, feather pillows and electric blankets for those cold winter nights. The French doors open onto your own private deck.

Our Kauri suite also provides you with a fully equipped kitchen, should you wish to cater for yourselves.

If the view and sound of the waves or the songs of the native birds aren't enough there is Sky TV, stereo and Wi-Fi.

Relax on this private deck of your beach accommodation at Piha and look through the cabbage and pohutukawa trees to Lion Rock.

Tui Suite at our Piha Beach Accommodation

For a more private and romantic setting at Piha Beach, indulge yourself by staying at our Tui Suite self-contained accommodation at Piha.

Don't worry about cold winter nights here, as well as top quality linen, Tui's double bed also has an electric blanket and there is plenty of heating in this quality accommodation.

The open plan living room and kitchen opens at both ends onto two private decks of your own in your beach accommodation at Piha.

This suite is also has a small kitchen with toaster, electric jug, microwave, hot sandwich maker and under-bench fridge. All your crockery and condiments are here.

Have breakfast outside listening to the Tui's song or the roar of the Piha surf, just one minute away from your self-contained accommodation at Piha through the trees. Wi-Fi available.

Beach Cabin at our Piha Beach Accommodation

This self-contained accommodation in Piha is perfect for people on a low budget. Only one minute walk to the beach, this accommodation at Piha is set in a private garden of New Zealand native trees, including pohutukawa, flax, cabbage trees and a large succulent garden. Great coffee and good conversation readily available.

Colour TV and plenty of reading material including books on Piha and Waitakere are here for your relaxation.

The cabin's “Kiwiana” kitchen is fully self-contained with all crockery, cutlery, electric jug, toaster, electric frying pan, bench top oven with two elements all provided—self-contained accommodation at Piha Beach.

Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are all here for your arrival. Just bring your own food. If you would like dinner cooked by us please let us know in advance.

Directions to our Piha Beach Accommodation

To find our self-contained accommodation at Piha, follow a good road map to the charming village of Titirangi. Top up on petrol, here—it's your last chance as there is no petrol in Piha.

At the far end of this village is a roundabout. Take second left turn, signposted to Piha—Scenic Drive. You're 20–25 minutes away from stunning Piha.

About 12 minutes from Titirangi you will pass the Nikau Club Cafe on the right, be sure to take the “low road” to Piha—the “high road” will not get you to us.

Continue on this road for approximately 12–15 minutes and you're in Piha.
