Whanganui

Located on the West Coast of New Zealand’s North Island and home to approximately 43,000 people, Whanganui sits at the junction of State Highways 3 and 4. We are a 2 ½ hour drive north from New Zealand’s capital city Wellington, an hour and a half from Mount Ruapehu and Mount Tongariro or an hour flight from Auckland. Most of the city lies on the northwestern bank of the historically significant Te Awa o Whanganui – the Whanganui River.
