Hamilton is centrally located and within an hour you can visit Cambridge, Lake Karapiro (North Island centre for rowing), Waitomo Caves, Raglan, Tirau, Te Aroha mineral water pools, Matamata with Hobbiton tours, castle rock for mountain biking or rock climbing.
