Situated in Pahiatua, and only 30 minutes from Palmerston North, Masters Hall is conveniently situated for any activity within the Manawatu and Tararua regions. We can accommodate individual travellers, families, school and community organisations, and both small and large groups of up to 100 people.

Previously the Pahiatua Hospital for almost 100 years, Masters Hall has been charmingly restored and refurbished to create comfortable accommodation and conference facilities, and is rich in history and atmosphere! Our unique venue has everything you need in one location: landscaped gardens, a reception hall that can comfortably seat 70 - 75 guests (or up to 100 in a less formal arrangement) onsite accommodation for up to 100 people, assorted wedding and event decor hire, and a variety of flexible options to suit your budget, and requirements.

On a beautifully landscaped 10 acre site, with onsite parking for cars, trucks, buses and camper-vans, Masters Hall is an enchanting venue for group accommodation. Our very affordable rates allow you the privacy and convenience of hiring a single room, or the entire complex for your stay, which allows us to tailor it for your individual needs.

So, if you are looking for somewhere to hold a family reunion, wedding, training seminar, festival, weekend retreat, workshop, or conference, or house your community groups, sports teams, school camps, or work crews, we have the perfect venue for your special occasion.

We are only 30 minutes from Palmerston North, or 5 minutes from Mangatainoka and the Tui Brewery which provides organised evening entertainment.

  • Pahiatua has many golf courses within forty minutes drive:
    • Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Feilding, Dannevirke, Manawatu (Hokowhitu), Palmerston North (Brightwater Terrace), Palmerston North (Brooklands Park), Masterton (Landsdown), Masterton (Mahunga)
  • To the south, is Pukaha Mt Bruce, New Zealand's national wildlife centre. Home to many of New Zealand's endangered birds, this world class facility is an opportunity to learn about, and experience, our native flora and fauna
  • The area boasts several of New Zealand's best and largest vintage machinery museums:
    • The Tokomaru steam engine museum (The largest in New Zealand)
    • The steam Traction Society (The largest collection in the southern hemisphere)

  • Silhouetted on the skyline are the largest windfarms in the southern hemisphere. Access is by car, quad bike or the extremely popular Gorge walkway
  • Just 10 Minutes from Mangatainoka is Woodville, a shoppers' delight, with antique shops, galleries, cafes, and boutique clothing stores
  • Fishing - Within 30 minutes of Pahiatua, are the five "M's", the Mangaohau, Makuri, Mangatainoka, Makakahi, and Manawatu, which are all renowned for their brown trout
