Where to camp
( New Zealand - Campsites and Holiday Parks)
I have looked at the camping guide and it says a lot of them you have to make reservations first. I am coming from Canada in Jan of 2017 and it looks like there are camp sites but they require a phone reservation so how hard is it to find a camp site. I will have a camper van.

New Zealand has plenty of camping grounds and holiday parks http://www.tourism.net.nz/accommodation/campsites-and-holiday-parks which provide great facilities. Freedom camping http://www.tourism.net.nz/new-zealand/about-new-zealand/free-camping.html is a bit more difficult these days as some areas around the country have been faced with noise and rubbish issues from campers. Some places will have designated areas while others may actually have 'no camping' in some areas. Check the web for the latest updates or the place you are hiring a campervan from.
