Do New Zealand Car Rental Companies Provide Extras?
Not every car rental company will provide the extras, so it's up to you to read through their offers carefully. However, whether you want to skiing, off-roading or are travelling with small children, you should not encounter any problems finding one of New Zealand's car rental companies who can accommodate your requirements.
- Going skiing? – Find the car rental companies who offer ski racks and snow chains, as they'll come in handy for any ski trips. You may need to book a four wheel drive vehicle and check that your rental agreement will cover your drive to the ski fields.
- Going off-road? – Most car rental companies do not allow off-roading in their vehicles, but some specialize in providing 4WD vehicles to enable you to roam wherever you want to go. Check before you book.
- Travelling with extra luggage? – If you like travel with a lot of luggage, you may find that a roof rack or trailer is required. Check with your car renal company to see if they can supply these, before you arrive laden down!
- Travelling with the family? – Children must travel in approved child seats and restraints in all car rentals. Before you book, ensure that your car rental company can provide you with appropriate child seats. They will need to know how heavy each child is so they fit an appropriate size.
