Craters of the Moon - Feel the Heat!
Craters of the Moon Thermal Area is a geothermal attraction located north of Taupo, New Zealand.
This is a walk with a difference! Named for its other-worldly atmosphere, the Craters of the Moon Thermal Area in Wairakei Tourist Park sprang up in the 1950s, when the nearby power station lowered underground water levels. Wairakei Tourist Park is the largest geothermal field in New Zealand.

Open 364 days a year, the walk is suited to people of all ages and fitness levels and is wheelchair accessible.
