Waikaremoana Holiday Park is nestled between Lake Waikaremoana lake edge and the surrounding bush of Te Urewera.

Waikaremoana Holiday Park is just a short walk to Te Kura Whenua - Waikaremoana Visitor Centre and a lot of the walks in the region. Waikaremoana Holiday Park is close to many great fishing spots and a well-stocked fishing selection and fishing licences in the shop make the Holiday Park a fisherman's dream or a great family holiday spot.

Waikaremoana Holiday Park offers a range of comfortable accommodation in serene isolation. Situated right on the shores of the lake, it is a spacious site with nature right at your doorstep.

Waikaremoana Holiday Park Accommodation

Chalets – Designed by Award-winning architect John Scott, these are comfortable units that sleep four to five. Nestled into the bush surrounding the lakeshore, they offer comfort and privacy. They're self- contained units with a fully-furnished kitchenette, fridge, two hobs and microwave combi oven. Heat pump and electric blankets included.

Tourist Flats – The Tourist Flats are self-contained units that sleep two. Offering breathtaking views of Lake Waikaremoana and the surrounding bush but still maintaining modern convenience. They are self- contained studio units with a double bed, fully-furnished kitchenette, fridge, two hobs and microwave combi oven. Heat pump and electric blankets included.

Family Unit – The family unit offers self-contained accommodation for up to seven in two bedrooms. This unit also offers panoramic views of the Lake and surrounding National Park. Combined this makes the Family Unit an ideal home away from home for a large family.

Lakeside Fisherman's Cabins – Four and five-berth cabins are available. Frequently used by families or groups wanting to just get away, and located near the modern camp amenities. Cooking ring, electric kettle, toaster and heater. Covered mattresses and pillows. They have standard bunk beds but you need to bring own bedding, towels, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The ideal spot to stay a night before or after undertaking the Waikaremoana Great Walk.

Fisherman's Cabins – Four and five-berth cabins are available. Frequently used by families wanting to just get away, and located near the modern camp amenities. Cooking ring, electric kettle, toaster and heater. Covered mattresses and pillows. They have standard bunk beds but you need to bring own bedding, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

Caravan and Tent Sites – We offer 32 powered sites and 28 non-powered sites, all boasting great views of Lake Waikaremoana and the surrounding beech forest. They are also located close to the camp amenities and lake activities and offer full use of the camp facilities.
