Far North Free Visitor Attractions
The Far North District of New Zealand, as its name suggests, is the northernmost district within New Zealand, consisting of the northern tip of the North Island. The district stretches from the capes and bays at the northern tip of the Aupouri Peninsula past Ninety Mile Beach to the main body of the North Auckland Peninsula, where it encompasses both the Bay of Islands and Hokianga.
Take a short stroll from the Cape Reinga/Te Rerenga Wairua car park down to the lighthouse. From here you can enjoy the outstanding panoramic views and pay respect to a site that is steeped in Maori tradition.
