Far North Kiwi Birds
The Far North District of New Zealand, as its name suggests, is the northernmost district within New Zealand, consisting of the northern tip of the North Island. The district stretches from the capes and bays at the northern tip of the Aupouri Peninsula past Ninety Mile Beach to the main body of the North Auckland Peninsula, where it encompasses both the Bay of Islands and Hokianga.
Affordable, safe and fun evening nature walks where you will encounter all the wonders of NZ's native bush in our 44-acre privately owned sub-tropical forest. Experience: Glow Worms, Bush Weta, Native Crayfish (Koura), Native Bird Life and our own resident North Island Brown Kiwi. Farm animals also! On-site accommodation options include The Kiwi House, Pioneer Cottage and Roots Down Retreat.
