Offering many days of hiking for the intrepid traveller, and camping along walking tracks, you can discover the most dramatic and beautiful parts of our spectacular country, from the ancient rainforests to majestic mountains and waterfalls hundreds of metres tall. Short walks and accessible walking trails are also available.

Mt Aspiring National Park is located at the southern end of the West Coast in the South Island. It's the third largest park and part of Te Wahapounamu - Southwest New Zealand World Heritage Area. The park contains mountains, glaciers, river valleys and alpine lakes. It's ideal for short walks and is the location for Isengard (Lord of the Rings).
