Hi, I am visiting Christchurch in May to go surfing and I would like to know what sort of weather to expect in May. Will it be warm?

You must be crazy. May is winter time in NZ. Are you sure you want to go surfing in winter. You must be one tough cookie. If you are serious, then make sure you have a really good wetsuit with hood, boots, and gloves.
