Hi,We were intending to spend New Years in Nelson and then drive to Kaikoura for a couple of nights before driving to Christchurch (flying out of Christchurch). We have already booked accommodation but only paid a deposit so may be able to cancel with no major penalty.Is it recommended to completely avoid Kaikoura during this period, and instead find and alternate route to Christchurch?
