travel from Greymouth to Christchurch NZ

Hi, We have just been advised that the rail trip from Greymouth to Christchurch has been cancelled until 3rd April 2017. We had booked a train trip for the 28th February 2017.We were dropping our vehicle off at Greymouth before catching the train. If we drive is the road open from Greymouth to Christchurch NZ or are some of the bridges damaged.We would appreciate your advice thanks.
