BUs From Taupo to Scenic Rail at National Park

Hi AllWe (Me, husband plus three kids age 5-10) are landing in Auckland and hiring a car to drive down as far as picking up the Scenic Rail from the National Park (to Wellington)I have a problem that the car has to be dropped off at Taupo airport - can anyone advise how we can get from Taupo airport to pick up the scenic train in the Ntional Park? Travelling on 17th April.I can't seem to find a phone number for tourist info/travel info.Thanks

There will be taxis and shuttles available from the airport. I am not sure about buses. The contact email for the Taupo Visitor information centre is taupovc@greatlaketaupo.com and their number is +64 7 376 0027.
