Tips to travel alone

Is it safe for a lady to travel alone in New Zealand?My concern is security. Any suggestion of local tours or cities to visit? I'll start my journey at Auckland for about 2 weeks.

Yes it is generally safe, if you use sensible. I would just say not to walk by yourself in the dark if its not a busy street etc. You could always join a tour with a tour company.
