To whom it may concern,I am a 19 year old student and as part of my gap year I would like to visit New Zealand. Since this would be my first time traveling abroad alone and I don`t know anyone living there I have been looking into volunteer programs. This would enable me to meet people and have a semi-organized program . There are two volunteer programs in particular which are very interesting to me: IVHQ (NGO support) and NewZealand (internships) - the Tourism program. Have you heard any reviews or feedback that could be important (such as problems that have occurred), pros and cons, which age groups usually attend etc.? If you know any other volunteer programs which also have good reviews, could you inform me? Also, why does applying to the projects cost? Or do I misunderstand the information on the websites? Is it only from a certain point on that the application costs? Thank you very much for your help!
