Accommodations in January

My husband and I will be traveling in both islands starting January 7, 2018, for a month. We know this when school is out and is family holiday time. We prefer to not have a set schedule for we need to be every night but we don't want to get stuck sleeping in our car either because there aren't accommodations. We prefer to stay more in the country and not large populated areas. We prefer more airbnb type places or small motels. Please advise. Karen

I would suggest you book in advance, as January is peak season. You could always contact some places in advance and check with them if they are likely to have any vacancies in Jan if you don't book in advance.
