Must visit Auckland wineries?

We'll be visiting New Zealand in February for our honeymoon. We'll have a car and will be driving around the North Island, and I would like to visit some wineries around Auckland but the options are overwhelming! We'd prefer to visit individual wineries rather than sign up for a guided tour, are there any suggestions for absolutely must-visit wineries, or a great unofficial wine trail? Thank you for your help!
