Safety Requirements for Whale Watching at Taupo
(Taupo - Whales, Dolphins, Seals and Penguins)
Hi, I'd really love to go whale watching at Taupo when I go there next year. Can you tell me how safe it is, and what safety requirements need to be adhered to when watching whales from a stand up paddle board.

Taupo is a city on the shore of Lake Taupo, and whales live in the ocean, so there is very little chance of seeing whales in Lake Taupo. We suggest you take a tiki tour down south to Kaikoura. There are some spectacular whale watching tours there.
