After leaving Franz Joseph where would be a good overnight stop en route to Blenheim

Anywhere along the West Coast is fantastic!! Greymouth or Hokitika, or Reefton is roughly half way. Another option would be to head toward the East Coast from Reefton and stop off at Hanmer Spings for a soak in the hot pools.
