Skippers Canyon Nature and Eco Tourism
Skippers Canyon is an historic and scenic gorge about 22 kilometres in length, located approximately 20 kilometres north of Queenstown. The Shotover River which flows through the canyon was once a very rich gold-mining river, but today the gorge is used for a wide range of adventure tourism activities, including jet boating the Shotover River through the canyon, 4x4ing, and bungy jumping some 134 metres from a cable car above the canyon!
