Most of the Hauraki Gulf is part of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park and is full of marine life including dolphins, whales and orcas. Many of the stunning islands in the Gulf are refuges for endangered species, are stunning volcanic islands, or are breathtaking resort islands.
