Clyde is a peaceful town set on the banks of the swift-flowing Clutha River, in Central Otago, New Zealand. Clyde grew up around the Central Otago Gold Rush of the 1860s. Clyde is a popular holiday location and lies at the western end of the Otago Central Rail Trail. Clyde's warm dry weather makes it a prime location for wine growing and orchards.
